Re: Spyderco Manix 2 Grind
Thanks for help and video link I will take all of the help I can get.
I am a bit frustrated at this point thinking I would get better results than I gotten so far I am not at the point of giving up yet but I also don't think I need to spend any more money on my system either.

Re: Spyderco Manix 2 Grind
The grind on my Manix 2 ended up being about 16 degrees using the angle block. I worked the stones just like Smokeeater908 does on his videos and my edge was better. I am using the ProPak 1 but it still is not Wicked Sharp or no way does it have a mirrored edge I can only assume to get a mirrored edge you need additional stones.
Thanks for the help.

Hey Guys
I am going to try my number three this weekend I am looking for the factory grind angles on a Syderco Manix 2 with CTS BD1 steel. Can someone direct me where I might find this information?
Thanks
Mike

Re: Try No. 2!
Update I have picked up an angle cube today so I hope this helps in my quest. So I guess my next question is there a way to fine tune the angle with the basic rods? I really hate to update anything before I get better results.
Thanks
Mike

Try No. 2!
Ok went with something different on try number two sharpened a pearing knife. This blade was somewhat sharp to start with used the Sharpie and was down at 16 deg. I know his was the same angle as last time because I used the Tormek wet stone on it. Well it came out better than the first try and is sharp but far from Wicked Sharp.
Thanks
Mike

Re: First Try!
Thanks for all of the help I will give the Sharpie a try. I did use a very old knife for my firt try one that gets used in the yard so it needed lots of work. Let me ask does using the angle block help get things done better?

First Try!
Well I received the Wicked Edge, pro-pack 1, for Christmas and my first attempt was les than wicked some of of the blade was sharp but other parts not so much. Can anyone give me the amount of time it take to get this system working? I have watched a large number of Smokeaters videos as reference.
Thanks
Mike
