Hi guys,

I am about to sharpen my CRK small sebenza 21 for first time on the wicked edge. I have sharpened by large sebenza 21 previously and have had great success. A big part of this success was watching the video by Clay in which he demonstrates proper technique as well as the suggested position using the alignment guide. For the large sebenza 21 he recommended we use A and 1/2. However I cannot find anywhere what position I should use for the small sebenza. Can someone who has experience sharpening this knife please provide me with some insight?

thanks,

Kyle

Thanks for the Feedback. It's always nice to hear directly from the man himself. Now I just have to decide at which angle I should reprofile to As always, thoroughly impressed with the level of customer service I have received. Take care

Hi guys,

I have had great success sharpening my CRK large sebenza with the WE and am now wanting to sharpen my Umnumzaan. The question I have is at what position on the allignment guide should I position the blade. In his video Clay Allison reccomended A & 1/2 for the large sebenza. Should I use this same position for the Umnum? Also, due to the curved nature of the spine of the Umnum is there any special techniques I should consider using? I would greaty appreciate any feedback from someone with prior experience with this knife.

thanks a bunch,

Kyle

Hi Guys,

This is my first post. I received my wicked edge system in the mail today. Shortly after sharpening my first knife,a ktchen knife at 15 degrees I realized I had an issue. Although coming out extremely sharp, my bevels were uneven. The bevel on the right side of the knife (the one that i would sharpened with my right hand) was much larger then the one on the left. This despite both being sharpened at 15 degrees per side. I attempted to sharpen my second knife and had the same problem. Can someone tell me what i might be doing wrong?
