Authors Comments:Chisel Ground Tanto. I focused on the primary side nocking the burr off the back side down to 400 grit. After 400 grit I sharpened all the way down to 3.5 micron leather strops. Holds a great edge for a long time under normal daily use.

Authors Comments:Buck states factory angles are 13-16/side. This was closer to 18/side. Diamond 400 - 1000. Ceramic 1.4 then leather strops as noted in finish.

Authors Comments:Reprofiled with 50/80 stones to 17.5 degree on each side. Knife if built like tank and the angle holds through abuse. Used all the stones from 50/80 to 1200/1600, then taped 2500 grit sandpaper to the ceramics. Stropped after all that, finishing with 3.5um for a mirror finish
