Benchmade 9500 Mini-Auto Stryker 2.9" .1" 154CM 58-60HRC 20 3.5um Top A.5 EDC

Authors Comments:I've experimented with this knife many dozens of times over the years. My conclusion is that the steel won't hold well under 20 degrees. It's important to treat the blade in two sections to preserve the tanto geometry. I don't recommend a convex edge because of the loss of some of the precision cutting. It's an excellent EDC, especially for any utility work.

SOG Twitch II 2.68" .1" AUS-8 HRC 57-58 22 3.5u Top A.5

Authors Comments:My progression was 800 to 1600 ceramics. Then 14, 10, 5, 3.5u strops. 100 strokes with each strop then would flip strops end for end at 50 so the whole strop would get worn evenly

Authors Comments:This finish leaves a refined but toothy edge that seems to work well for kitchen duty..
