Bark River Bravo 1 4.250 inches .215 inches A-2 tool steel 59 17 degrees ceramics and strops with 5 and 3.5 micron pastes, I do a lot of stropping with green paste day to day and so I get a convexing to this edge over time top B-5 survival/bushcraft/tactical

Authors Comments:LJM it originally came with a zero degree convex edge which I found was a bit too fine and subject to chipping and rolling; I love the 17 degree angle razor sharp and tough

DPX Gear HEST 1.0 3.67 inches .197 inches D2 Tool Steel 58-59 21 degrees per side ceramics and strops 5 and 3.5 diamond paste Top B-1 Survival folder/EDC

Authors Comments: This has been a controversial knife. The model 1 in some cases had weaknesses but luckily for me my cop was fine. A very sturdy knife with a D-2 tool steel blade that sharpens up incredibly and retains the edge well. It is one of my EDC knives.

Spyderco Fred Perrin Street Beat 3.5 inches 5/32th of an inch VG-10, 59 17 degrees per side ceramics and strops 5 and 3.5 diamond paste Top B-1 EDC / Tactical fixed blade

Authors Comments:Fred Perrin is an ex-special forces France knife designer and he has made a scary little knife here. It is full flat ground, so needs special attention when mounting. I use chamois to fill the voids.
