A very nice knife sent in by a customer to be re-profiled to 20 degrees per side. The steel is D2. I corrected the asymmetry and established new bevels before polishing and refining the edge.

This was nearly a complete restoration of the edge. When we first received it, the bevels were very uneven, angling across the centerline of the blade from heel to tip leaving one bevel at the tip really wide and the other narrow. This is a great knife with CMS110V steel, 20 degrees per side, polished to .125 microns with CBN spray on leather strops.

This is an interesting blade design with the extra hook feature which was fun and challenging to sharpen. It has an changing curvature so matching the angle took some extra effort. I used some prototype tools to get inside the hook.
