i picked up 7 knives and this one cleaver to sharpen today for a customer of mine from the farmers fare.

as u can see, it has rust build up there and there - not heavey, but still there.

what would be your best suggestions/comments on how to best remove all the rust and clean it up.

thanks
max

Wow! What a difference! Do you have a link for that product, Tuf?

Personally I use sandpaper for rust removal (1000-2500 grit), but this looks much better.

Anyone ever tried coca cola?

Found it: www.amazon.com/Henkel-553472-Loctite-Dis...-Ounce/dp/B000C016OC

Still interested in whether people have experience with simple home products like coca cola.

Mythbusters (do you get that show? On the net if you don't) busted the coca-cola myth... didn't clean off rust.

If it's on TV, it has to be true.

Really? Did they? Unfortunately we don't get many of the cultural expressions from the States over here. But we do get Adam and Jamie.
