TOPIC: Gut Hooks?

Gut Hooks? 3 years 1 week ago #387

Clay,

I hear you are working on a modification for serrated edges. I was wondering if there were any plans for a modification that would handle gut hooks on skinning knives? I'm not sure how much demand there would be for it, but I would definitely buy one. IMO, the gut hook is a great feature when it's sharp. But dulls after a few deer and is practically impossible to sharpen. I would love to put a wicked edge on mine. Just a suggestion.

I would imagine it would do the outdoor edge underside gut hook like this one.

If the square stones can't then I am sure the curved stones would.

Gut hooks would require some kind of file or dowel system that you can mount to a stock paddle.
