Hi Steve.

Welcome to the WE forum and congratulations on getting a Wicked Edge. We look forward to hearing about your sharpening experience and are always here to help you with sharpening advice of any kind.

When you first start using your Wicked Edge, know that the diamond stones do need a few sharpening sessions to break in. As you get more practice on the WE and your stones start to break in, you'll notice your results get better and better with every knife!

Happy sharpening,

-Kyle

Hi Steve - I'm new here as well and figured I'd piggyback on your post!

I got my WE yesterday from Oldawan and sharpened one knife with it last night. So far so good. I've been going back reading all the old posts and checking out the various links and information contained here. Tons of information available, now just need to put it to practice!

Haha yeah it's me. Thanks for showing off that ZT 0600 I sharpened a few weeks ago.

I was having a pretty tough time on that knife, trying to get it to that high of a shine. It had a few deep scratches that wouldn't go away, even after using the 5000 and 10000 grit waterstones, and the edge was a little "milky" towards the heal of the blade. I almost gave up and then Clay told me to use the 14 and 10 micron strops. 5 minutes later the edge was perfect. A very good trick to know for all of you having similar issues.

Welcome to the forum all.

Kyle, you need to tell Clay to have the web master promote you to Platinum. Loved the latest photos by the way.
